In this case, "cheaper" doesn't mean junk. The Basilisk Essential swaps in less-expensive internals with some ticked-down core specs, and, in return, shaves the price to $49.99. Two of its newest products, the BlackWidow Essential keyboard, and its latest gaming mouse, the Basilisk Essential, are budget takes on solid existing citizens. In 2019, Razer's strategy around its peripherals seems to be to make its fan-favorite gaming gear a little more accessible.
